The walk
Flat trail from the campground to the 1860 Cedar Point Lighthouse on Gardiners Bay. The lighthouse was on an island until the 1938 Hurricane filled in the channel. Great family walk with a clear destination.
Access & parking
From East Hampton, Stephen Hands Path north to Old Northwest Road, left to Alewive Brook Road, right into Cedar Point County Park.
Parking: Suffolk County Parks lot, $10 in season for nonresidents.
