The walk
Cold War radar base converted to state park. The SAGE radar tower still looms over the trail. Loop passes coastal gun batteries, oak scrub, and a bluff-edge view straight at the Montauk Lighthouse.
Access & parking
NY-27 east past Montauk village; signs for Camp Hero State Park on the right before Montauk Point.
Parking: Camp Hero State Park main lot, free off-season, fee in summer.
